Meet Our Team

Meet Our Goondiwindi Team!

You already know we are passionate about teeth but here is a bit of background so you can get to know our Goondiwindi team better!

Dr. Olivia Vonow | Priniple Dentist

Dr. Olivia had a dream of creating a dentist in Goondiwindi that gave the community the service they deserve.

A place you can really trust from the moment you meet them and considers the little details that make a difference.

Dr Olivia is a true perfectionist, inspired with each new smile she designs and creates. Her passion is working with patients to achieve their goals with Invisalign to straighten teeth, helping kids to love the dentist and building relationships with her patients.

Weekends are full of friends, food and gardening. Always together with her daughter Pippa and husband Michael. They love the Goondiwindi community and spirit.

Dr. Haotian | Associate Dentist

Dr. Haotian graduated from the University of Queensland with honours. He joined our family in 2020 and has experience working in both private and public clinics in rural and urban environments.

Dr Haotian always prioritises patient-centred care, and prides himself in putting patient’s comfort first! Patients know him to be extremely gentle and caring.

In his spare time, Dr. Haotian enjoys producing fire beats and goes by the name DJ Hertz.

Michael | Business Manager

Michael moved out to Goondiwindi when he married Olivia. The small-town charm rubbed off very quickly to make Michael call Goondiwindi home.

Taking a job with a local electrical company he has since then had the opportunity to train in a dental practice attaining his certificate III in Dental Assisting.

Working alongside his wife he grew an appreciation for the hard work she does and the care she has for her patients. Michael is more than happy to put down the tools to help Olivia realize her dream.

Raelene | General Manager

Raelene started at Goondiwindi Family Dental in July 2017 just a week after we opened our doors.

After studying her certificate 3 in dental assisting and Certicate 4 in dental radiography, Raelene continued to be our practice manger for both Goondiwindi and St George family dental.

She is experienced in exceptional customer care and is loving, caring for people at Goondiwindi Family dental.

She grew up in Goondiwnfi and after living in Brisbane, wanted to move back to her home town. Raelene enjoys fishing and camping in the goonidiwni region and spending time with her family and friends.

Raelene is a local and loves seeing our small towns friendly faces.

We are proud of her achievement and passion for helping create beautiful smiles.

Amorie | Accounts Manager

Amorie started at Goondiwindi in September 2019, just before we moved our building into town.
Since Amorie started with us, she has finished a diploma in business and in accounting.
Amorie is our accounts manager for both Goondiwindi & St. George.
She is from South Africa and every now and again she spoils us with some South African treats.
She has also had a little baby girl in June 2021.
Amorie might not have always lived in Gundy, but she loves the community and she knows that grinners are winners, especially at Goondiwindi.

Lisa | Administrator

Even though the Kiwi is a flightless bird Lisa migrated over the ditch and has never looked back.

She first settled in Sydney where she loved the city living but after 20 years, she just wanted to have the country lifestyle again, so she moved to Toowoomba.

Fast forward a few years she has completed Cert 3 in Practice management and Cert 4 in Medical Assisting, she met a local and now calls Gundi home.

She loves coming to work and always has a big smile for all and at the end of the day, she can’t wait to hop in her ute and head home to the farm where she now calls home.

Sharni | Head Clinical Nurse

Sharni grew up in a small rural town of Deniliquin which is located just on the border of NSW and VIC, also famously known for the Deni Ute Muster before relocating to Goondiwindi in late 2012 with her family.
She has worked in the dental industry since 2017, joining our team in February 2020 and is the Head Clinical Nurse for our Goondiwindi and St George practices.
Within her experience, she has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and her Certificate IV in Dental Radiography.
Sharni thrives off all aspects of general & cosmetic dentistry, she enjoys when a patient walks away from the practice with a confident, healthy, and happy smile

Eliah | Dental Assistant

Eliah was born in Moree and raised in the small town of Collarenebri. She has been a part of the Goondiwindi Family Dental team since she completed a school based traineeship in 2019.
We offered Eliah a full time placement after she graduated high school in 2020.
You have probably seen Eliah assisting in Clinical rooms, where she carries out all dental procedure in a professional manner.
Eliah’s favourite thing about being apart of this dental team is it’s more than just work for her, it’s more like family!!
Be sure to say hi to Eliah at your next visit!

Kristina | Dental Assistant

Kristina moved to Australia from Germany in 2012.

Kristina has lived in Goondiwindi since 2019 and loves the wide-open spaces and sunsets out here in the country.

Becoming a dental assistant was really a lucky coincidence as this is her second career and Kristina really enjoys the challenges of her new profession.

Kristina started working at Family Dental in May 2021 and has since completed her Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking photos of those amazing sunsets.
